The making of the list

My in-laws grew up in Taiwan, and brought my husband on trips back at least every year while growing up. Much of their family resides in Taiwan today, so there are lots of local connections through aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends. I started visiting Taiwan in 2008 and have made several trips there since, including with our own 3 kids.

Over the years, visits, and different ages, we’ve explored all over Taipei. Sometimes relatives would bring us to this place and that, and almost every time they offer recommendations of things they think we should check out. I’ve gathered recommendations from other friends with kids the same age as our kids who also travel to Taiwan frequently. Furthermore, I’ve done plenty of my own internet sleuthing to find what to do with kids in Taipei. The following is a collaborative list from locals, frequent visitors, and travelers.
